Terms of Service

Welcome to JunkYardGeorge. By booking our services online or over the phone, you agree to the following Terms of Service. These terms comply with the British Columbia Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act (BPCPA).

1. Scope of Services

JunkYardGeorge provides full-service residential and commercial junk removal across the Fraser Valley, BC. Our standard service includes loading, transport, labour, and responsible disposal or recycling at local licensed facilities such as Bailey Sanitary Landfill.

2. Rates & Pricing Transparency

• Standard Trailer Size: 7 ft × 14 ft Heavy-Duty Dump Trailer (approx. 14.5 cubic yards capacity).
• Standard Service Rates:
  • Half Load (7' × 14'): $225.00 CAD (general household junk, furniture, appliances)
  • Full Load (7' × 14'): $300.00 CAD (general household junk, furniture, appliances)
• Special Material Surcharges: Due to heavy weight and specialized municipal disposal fees in Chilliwack and the Fraser Valley, the following surcharges apply:
  • 🟤 Dirt / Soil: +$100.00 per trailer
  • 🧱 Bricks / Concrete: +$100.00 per trailer
  • 🏚️ Drywall / Gypsum: +$150.00 per trailer
• Final On-Site Quote: Estimates provided online are based on the information submitted. Our team will verify the load volume and materials on-site prior to beginning work. Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Restricted & Unacceptable Items

We do not accept the following items:

• Hazardous waste, toxic chemicals, biohazards, medical waste
• Batteries, gasoline, oil, or volatile liquids
• Asbestos or asbestos-containing materials (unless tested and certified compliant)
• Pressurized tanks, ammunition, or explosives

4. Booking Confirmations & Cancellations

Under BC consumer protection guidelines:

• Booking requests submitted online are confirmed by phone or SMS within 1 business hour.
• You may cancel or reschedule your booking at no charge up to 2 hours before your scheduled pickup time by calling or texting 778-933-2548.
• If our team arrives on-site and the job is cancelled or access is blocked, a nominal dispatch fee may apply.

5. Property Access & Safety

Customers must ensure clear, safe access to the pickup location (driveways, pathways, stairs). Our team reserves the right to refuse service if conditions present a hazard to safety or property integrity.

6. Limitation of Liability

JunkYardGeorge exercises utmost care while performing heavy removal. We carry commercial insurance. However, we are not liable for pre-existing structural damage, hidden hazards, or items designated by the customer for removal in error.

7. Consumer Protection Rights (BC BPCPA)

Nothing in these Terms of Service restricts or waives any statutory rights granted to consumers under British Columbia law. Customers retain all rights to express genuine service feedback and reviews.
